The VacPort range
Seven versions, one VacPort. They differ only in the LED, whether the trim plate is included, and what else comes in the package. Replacing an old port? Start with the A-900-X or A-910-X.
What does the "-X" mean? It is the color. Replace the X with E for Ebony (black) or W for White: A-900-E is a black A-900, A-900-W is a white one. The Black and White buttons pick it for you.

These are the only single VacPorts that come with the trim plate. The trim plate screws on through the old port's holes, is your template for the cut, and covers the old opening. Pick A-900-X for the LED, A-910-X without it.

Questions
What does the -X in the part number mean?
It is the color. -E is Ebony (black) and -W is White. An A-900-E is a black A-900-X; an A-900-W is a white one.
What is the difference between the versions?
Every InterVac VacPort uses the same A900 housing, door and magnets. The versions differ in three things: whether it has the LED, whether the trim plate comes with it, and what else is in the package. A-900-X and A-910-X are the retail ports with the trim plate. A-950-X and AF-10-X add fittings. A-901-X, A-902-X and A-911-X are bare ports with no trim plate and no box.
Which one do I need to replace an old sweep port?
The A-900-X (LED) or A-910-X (no LED). They include the trim plate, which the manual uses to replace a VacPan or Vacu-Sweep: it screws on through the old holes, you trace inside it and cut to the line, and it covers the old opening.
When does the LED come on?
When you open the door. Opening the door starts the vacuum and the LED lights the floor in front of the port. Suction and fit are the same with or without the LED.
Does the hose plug into it?
No. The pipe or installation hose connects to the back. The front is a sweep-in door. Your cleaning hose goes into an inlet valve.
Does a VacPort need bags or filters?
No. It is an inlet, not a vacuum. The bag and filters belong to your central vacuum power unit.
What is the warranty?
Two years.
